― Albert EinsteinThe raen of sui-no-Sato do not know much of the outside world, only that it is a dangerous place, ravaged by war. At least there, protected by the sea...they are safe. But for Arciela, there was always that voice in the back of her mind that called out for something more than the small bubble in which she grew up in. Her parents, much older than most, saw the curiosity in their daughter's eyes and could not deny her want to see and experience what lay above. But, still wishing to protect their daughter to some degree, they sent her away to boarding school in Kugane, hoping that her dedication to study would keep her away from a life of danger. For a time, it did.Arciela found herself with a nose to her books, absorbing everything she could about Hydaelyn and its history with a fascination over Eorzea. Stories of wars, treaties, alliances...it all fascinated her. She also found herself drawn to aetherology and how everything flowed through the world and balanced itself. As a side-hobby, she even took up studying music history, even if just an excuse to experience new styles and sounds she had never gotten to hear before.A more dedicated student the school might never find, and Arciela absorbed herself into the culture that was Kugane. She was so far from home...and yet...she found a home here where she had least expected it.

― Watsuki NobuhiroStudious or not...adventure would find Arciela with a voice that seemed to be carried by the wind. It was one Spring when the young woman was roused from sleep by a song, like a fleeting dream she heard it...the words spoken by none other than Hydaelyn herself.
"Hear...Feel...Think..."The small raen knew then that her purpose was so much more than books. She was summoned to vanquish the darkness from this land, and she would do so with a sword in hand. The raen that never went below the sea were often known for their prowess in picking up the art of combat, and Arciela would be no different. Between the art of Ninjutsu and the way of the Samurai, she found strength in the blade and would let it carry her forward unto new horizons.

PERSONALITY:Arciela is very curious but is also very shy due to her upbringing. She never got much of a chance to speak/socialize with outsiders and while boarding school did broaden her horizons, she was too busy studying to make many friends. Because of this, she is rather slow to warm up to people, but once she does...the girl has a naturally bright and bubbly personality and is very quick to excite!She is a lover of the world, of travel, and of learning- so therefore, she is naturally curious. She loves to read and experience all sorts of new things, even new jobs/professions when she can! She isn't what one might expect from a Warrior of Light at first glance, but do not let that cute face fool you. When in battle, Arciela is a fierce and disciplined warrior, fitting of a samurai.
